Your therapist will greet you and you’ll be welcomed to our private treatments room. They will take a detailed history regarding your health and your current injury. From there, they will perform a physical assessment to determine the cause of your injury/pain, why it is happen, and a treatment plan to get you moving better. And of course, you will also receive treatment during your first appointment.
Initial assessments are booked one hour (60 minutes), and follow-up appointments are 45 minutes
Nope! Physiotherapists are primary health care providers, and we do NOT require a doctor’s note or you to book an appointment
Truly, whatever you want and you are comfortable in! However, the therapist does need to be able to see and observe the joint / area giving you some grief (so sometimes a loose shirt or tank top is preferred, or some short). But don’t worry – we always have some extra clothing on hand to change into!
This completely depends on your diagnosis. One thing we can reassure you – is that your therapist will give you details and options regarding your injury and pain, and many options with regard to treatment. This can involve hands on manual therapy, soft tissue work, joint mobilizations, dry needling / IMS, cupping … and importantly, exercises to get you moving again.
We sure do! We can direct bill most major insurance companies. Please see our page showing a list of providers we direct bill.
You bet! We are able to assess you you, and start your claim with your insurance company. The Motor Vehicle Accident protocols are provincially regulated, and we are able to direct bill your insurance company
unfortunately, we can not at this time. Only certain larger clinics across the province have a contract, and in most situations it is after an orthopaedic surgery.
We do not bill WCB at this time
Absolutely. All information you provide is kept completely confidential during and after your visit. We abide by regulations set by the Physiotherapy Alberta College and Association and the Privacy Information and Protection Act (PIPA).
We have designated parking stalls in the front of our building! If for whatever reason they are full, there is also free angled parking along 115 street (almost directly in the front of the building)
